When Will We Get Justice for Breonna?
A little earlier today, 1 out of the 3 officers were indicated on charges but they are not the charges that were needed. We continue to feel frustrated that there was no action taken to arrest the murders who killed Breonna Taylor.
One officer was indicated for wanton endangerment of the neighborhood but was not charged with murder. The tragedy here is not just the loss of a life, but that we have police organizations that continue to get away with murdering black people.
While electing Christopher Banks to office this year will not fix police officers in other states, we will be putting a much needed minority voice in our local political arena who is intelligent, well spoken, and has ideas that will help shape the future of the great state of Michigan.
In an effort to remain transparent with his electorate, Mr Banks has a platform to work toward ending discrimination in Michigan. He purposes that we go back and look at the 1964 Civil Rights Act and see how it is applied in Michigan.
Today's failing of the local government can not be allowed to be happen in Michigan and Christopher Banks will do everything in his power to push legislation that looks at correcting discrimination happening throughout the state.
